April's Parent Coffee will be about the Gifts of Psychoeducational Testing presented by Arielle Burdo, Psy.D and Licensed Psychologist and Iris Kiner, Psy.D and Licensed Psychologist from Alpert Jewish Family and Children Services.
Psycho-educational testing provides a comprehensive evaluation which determines core components of a person’s psychological or mental health difficulties, personality, abilities, identification of personal strengths and weaknesses for children of all ages. During our meeting, we would like to discuss the process of testing, when testing may be helpful, why testing is helpful and the purpose of gifted testing along with the importance of re-evaluation and follow up.
Dr. Iris Kiner specializes in Psychological testing and counselling services for all ages. Her research experiences includes developing family focused interventions to increase family support. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and completed her internship year at the Center for Group Counseling in Boca Raton, FL.
Dr. Arielle Burdo specializes in counseling and psychological testing. She graduated from Carlos Albizu University with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and completed an APA internship at Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health in Canton, OH. Her research interests include the psychological and social impact of childhood parental loss.
