Our series will include a multitude of different presentations regarding social and emotional issues choosen by our high school members. After each presentation, diverse young artists hailing from high schools all over Palm Beach County will be performing their best work! We are also inviting schools from Martin and Palm Beach County to have exhibitor tables.

The mission of the series is to creatively mingle education with entertainment. We hope to reach and inform a vast array of demographics regarding the pertinent social and emotional issues this community faces!

Information about Therapeutic Oasis:
Located in historic Delray Beach, Therapeutic Oasis is a vibrant healing and wellness center specializing in adolescent, adult and family psychotherapy, nutrition therapy and holistic services. The Oasis clinical team adheres to the highest of ethical standards, providing therapeutically grounded, evidence-based treatments in a secure and peaceful setting.
Christie Caggiani, RDN, LDN, CEDRD
Christie is an innovative Nutrition Therapist who is passionate about working with individuals and families on their journey toward a balanced and fulfilling life with food. Her mindfulness-based, non-diet approach teaches clients to eat intuitively and move joyfully, encouraging others to reconnect with their internal signals of hunger and satiety. Ms. Caggiani enjoys speaking to both children and adults about such areas as disordered eating, eating disorders, preventive nutrition, women’s health, and wellness. Christie practices at Therapeutic Oasis of the Palm Beaches, which she co-founded in 2013.
Anni Johnston, LMHC, DM/T
Before joining Therapeutic Oasis of the Palm Beaches, Anni Johnston was a Group and Creative Arts therapist in California. Anni helped to co-found The Body Positive, an organization dedicated to providing peer leadership training and public education to help teens and young adults move past messages of negative body image. She enjoys working with adults, teens, couples and families, utilizing both her training as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Dance Movement Therapist. Anni’s approach combines humor and lightness, helping individuals find strength, resolve and higher wisdom. Anni also teaches Authentic Movement workshops and soon will be a Certified Yoga Teacher.

Our treatment for anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and exercise addiction is therapeutically grounded, and incorporates state-of-the-art approaches, research, outcome data, and up-to-date medical knowledge. Our innovative protocols are based on a thorough understanding of eating disorders and the unique experience of each person affected by one.
Information about the Alliance for Eating Disorders:
The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness ("The Alliance") is a nonprofit* organization dedicated to providing programs and activities aimed at outreach, education, and early intervention for all eating disorders. Founded in October 2000, The Alliance has worked tirelessly to raise awareness, eliminate secrecy and stigma, promote access to care and support for those susceptible to, currently struggling with, and recovered from eating disorders. The Alliance creates a bridge for those needing and seeking help by connecting people with resources and information to assist them in their recovery.
The Alliance offers educational workshops and presentations, free support groups for those struggling and for their loved ones, advocacy for eating disorders and mental health legislation, national toll-free phone help line, and referrals, support and mentoring services. All services offered by The Alliance are free-of-charge, therefore, making it accessible to everyone. Since its inception in October 2000, The Alliance has offered presentations on eating disorders, positive body image, and self-esteem to more than 250,000 individuals throughout Florida and nationwide.
About Johanna Kandel, CEO, Founder of Alliance for Eating Disorders and Author:
After recovering from a ten-year-long battle with various eating disorders, Johanna founded The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness, based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Since its inception in 2000, The Alliance has brought information and awareness about eating disorders to more than 235,000 middle school, high school, and college students nationally and internationally. In addition, Johanna runs free weekly support groups, mentors individuals with eating disorders and their families through their treatment and recovery, helps thousands of people gain information and find the help they need, and advocates for legislation on the local, state, and national levels.
She is the current President of the Board of Directors for the Eating Disorders Coalition, member of the Academy for Eating Disorders Advisory Board, founding board member of the Eating Disorders Activist Network, and Expert Advisory Committee member for Girl Future. She is an active participant in National Eating Disorders Awareness Month. She has received many awards for her ongoing outreach and advocacy work, including the Jefferson Award for Public Service© and Harlequin Enterprises' More Than Words Award. Johanna has appeared on national television programs including NBC Nightly News and The Today Show, and profiled in the New York Times and Glamour Magazine.
Johanna's book, Life Beyond Your Eating Disorder, was released by Harlequin Nonfiction in September of 2010. Success to Johanna means helping even one person avoid traveling down the same road she did and continuing to use her voice in the fight against eating disorders.
All attendees will receive 3 hours of community service for attending.
Zanne Hanna, 16, Suncoast Highschool
Instruments: Guitar and Vocals
Zanna Hanna: Zanne is a 17 year-old local singer/songwriter. She has studied for three consecutive summers at the Songwriter's Workshop at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and she gigs regularly at Swampgrass Willy's in Palm Beach Gardens and The Red Onion in Aspen, Colorado. She has been playing guitar and songwriting for about four years. Zanne takes inspiration from artists like Bob Dylan, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones, and Amy Winehouse. Her musical style blends pop melodies with blues harmonies and poetic lyrics. She recorded a Demo CD in 2014 in New York and continues to update her Soundcloud with original work.
Sacred Bliss, 90's Rock
Sacred Bliss has 4 performers, Dave Mendelshon, Zack Stephenson, Nick Accardi and JC Hanon.
Dave Mendelsohn, 17 plays bass and attends Dreyfoos School of the Arts; Zach Stephenson, 17 plays guitar and attends Jupiter High School; Nick Accardi, 16, plays guitar and attends Palm Beach Gardens Highschool; and JC Hanon, 17, plays drums and attends Oxbridge.
Sacred Bliss is a modern rock/grunge band based out of South Florida formed in the summer of 2015. The band consist of five members: vocalist/keyboardist Justin Rubenstein, guitarists Zach Stephenson and Nick Accardi, bassist David Mendelsohn, and drummer JC Hannon. We just released our debut, self-titled EP and are in the process of writing and recording our first full-length album. Our live performances consist of originals, as well as a wide genre of covers. We are open to electric sets as well as acoustic sets. Hope you enjoy!
