"Mindfulness: The Real Deal" : Learning how to become Adaptable and Flexible when Stress Hits!

"Mindfulness: The Real Deal" is specifically designed for girls aged 9-13, with the core value of Wisdom addressed. Our goals are to increase a youth's resiliency through modern and sensible actions. We will practice reducing overall health concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, and illness. Being able to stop, look and listen and tuning in to “what is” versus “what if”. Our retreat provides youths with a toolbox of skills that they will be able to take with them everywhere for ready use. Research has found that mindfulness can create healthy structural and functional changes in the brain to help individuals become more flexible and adaptable to environments. Each mindfulness activity will be personalized to youth’s individual skills, passions, and learning styles.
